GOOD TO BE HERE

Life is a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint on it you can.

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

Meet again for this week :)
Just to inform that ive just had my programming test during the day..
i 'like' it so much :)
because i can learn from my mistakes and be a better one..
Support me!!!

On Tuesday, we got an invited speaker from Titan Thermal Solutions Sdn.Bhd..
 it is Mr.Vivek Panicker..
 He is an Executive Director.
Its such an honor for me to see big boss came down and gave a talk to us..
and somewhat, his experience at British Royal Navy is what making me so
amazed that day..
been graduated from overseas university is what making me more jealous..haha.. but its okay..i have MJIIT already..haha :D

Title of the talk is

ELECTRONIC SYSTEM IN INDUSTRY
  1. Overview of electronic system
  2. Role of electronic in industry
  3. Overview of imaging solutions
  4. Electronics within Thermal Imaging Industries

1. OVERVIEW OF ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS
DEFINITION OF ELECTRONICS

Electronic system are group of electronic circuits designed for a purpose.

IMPORTANCE
  1. Fundamental to our daily life
  2. Key role in advancement of technology
  3. Replaces previous systems & more integrated into current society
  4. Mainstay in future development
  5. Symbol of progressions of electronic system
    1. large --> small --> miniature
    2. simple --> complex
    3. analog --> digital

2. ROLE OF ELECTRONIC IN INDUSTRY
  1. Vital to current information & technology era
  2. penetrated seamlessly through various industries
  3. act as CATALYST to enhanced production & productivity within the industry
  4. industry mostly depend on electronics
  5. been conventionally classify into :
    1.  consumer
      1. oldest segment of electronics with the advent of radio receivers
      2. example : microwave, Nintendo
      3. geared towards the push of customer products
    2. Industrial
      1.  " work less, do more"
    3. Defence
      1. strategic, creates spin-off electronics for other segments
      2. pushed the growth of material science technology
      3. frontier modern electronics
    4. Communications
      1. current rapid growing field
      2. benefited from semi conductor, lasers, optical fiber technology
    5. Information of processing system
      1. development of IC
      2. applications of Application-specific integrated circuit( ASIC) designs
      3. Very-large-scale-integration(VLSI) circuits; micro-controllers,microprosessor.
  6. also been individually  classified :
    1. Medical
      1. creation of medical testing & monitoring equipment
      2. example : ECG(electricardiogram) machine, NMK scanner
    2. Imaging
      1. developing & providing the platform for new technique
      2. create a modern structure to provide detail imaging
  7. 2 crucial parts :
    1. platform for development or design of new systems
    2. to increase the productivity of current system
3. OVERVIEW OF IMAGING INDUSTRIES

  1. represent object outward form
    1. chemical imaging
      1. simultaneous measurement of spectra & pictures
    2. digital imaging
      1. creating digital images, generally by scanning or through digital photography
    3. geophysical imaging
      1. advance of satellite communication
    4. medical imaging
      1. creating images of the human body / parts to be diagnose or examine disease
    5. molecular imaging
    6. optical imaging
    7. radar imaging
      1. obtaining an image of an object, not just its location and speed
    8. thermal imaging
      1. thermography
  2. advent of electronics; moved imaging into new heights
  3. development of new methodologies
  4. move imaging tech into new wavelength
  5. spectrums for commercial usage

breathtaking ,right??
make me feels like going to famos amos to buy candy~~
hehe..

with the power of mr.google, everything seems possible.. thanks to him i can better understand this color spectra

BASIC CONCEPTS & TERMS

  1. Pixels & Resolution
    1. digital image is formed by pixels
    2. smallest piece of information is an image
    3. often represented using dots, squares, or rectangles

    4. more pixels in an image, the sharper and clearer the image is

  2. Videos & Frames
    1. a digital stream of videos is made of a group of picture(frames) captured across a period of time
    2. more frames per sec, the lesser the jitter in videos

  3. NTSC & PAL
    1. PAL TV STANDARD
      1. 25f/sec
      2. resolution : 320 x 700
      3. asia, europe, south america, east africa
    2. NTSC TV STANDARD
      1. 30 f/sec
      2. resolution: 480 x 720
      3. north ameriac & japan
  4. requires processing huge quantities of data in short span
4. ELECTRONICS WITHIN THERMAL IMAGING INDUSTRY

  1. originally spin- off defense electronics
  2. use of wavelength in 7-14 micrometer to form an image
  3.  referred as dirty imaging system

DIRTY IMAGING PROCESS

  1. lots of pre & post process data required
  2. requires Non-Uniformity Calibration(NUC) on data system
  3. varies in state and space
  4. enables implementation of intensive algorithms

EQUATION

Incident  energy (I) = Emitted energy(E) + Transmitted energy (T)+ Reflected energy(R)

  1. equations then are expanded into models that been described in electronics
Graphical depiction of the linear interpolation model for sub pixel 2D motion.
The shaded pixels represent the interpolated irradiance value at time k + 1.
     2. thermal imaging is been used in various industries:

          a. maintenance

          b. R&D

          c.medical research

    3. electronic and the advancement of tech has huge impact on thermal industry
    4. thermal imaging never blind architecture

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mr. Vivek told us that

  1. ELECTRONICS ARE UNLIMITED
  2. OUR BRAIN IS THE MASTER OF ELECTRONICS

such a great talk we had, thanks to him..my knowledge expand tremendously.
i love engineering so much that it such a waste to be left out. i want to be a successful engineer,
and own my company. Dream big!!! he~~ but that is my goal..just need to grab it..
wish me success..
